The last time former Los Angeles Dodgers great Steve Garvey made big news, he was leading a group he had put together to buy the team when it was up for sale last year.

We all know how that turned out. A group led by Magic Johnson bought the Dodgers.

Meanwhile, Garvey continues his career juggling several activities, including serving as a motivational speaker and as head of Garvey Productions, which produces shows and informercials.

And on Feb. 22, Garvey will go to the dogs.

He will appear on an episode of Hallmark Channel's "Who Let the Dogs Out," which centers on a group of dog trainers. The show's cast meets former Dodgers catcher Steve Yeager before getting together with Garvey and other Dodgers Al Ferrara, Bill Russell and Tim Leary for an autograph session.
