'Skyfall,' 'Anna Karenina,' 'Smash' win Costume Designers awards

"Skyfall," "Anna Karenina" and "Mirror Mirror" won the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Award for excellence in feature film Tuesday evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Jany Temime won for excellence in contemporary film for "Skyfall" and Jacqueline Durran earned the award in the period film category for "Anna Karenina."

Eiko Ishioka received the award in fantasy film for "Mirror Mirror."

On the television side, Molly Maginnis earned the award for outstanding contemporary television series for "Smash" and Caroline McCall received the award for outstanding period/fantasy television series for "Downton Abbey."

Lou Eyrich won the outstanding made-for-TV-movie or miniseries honor for "American Horror Story: Asylum, Season 2."

Judianna Makovsky won for excellence in commercial costume design for "Captain Morgan Black." Makovksy also won the Costume Designers Guild's Career Achievement in Film Award.

Other special awards were handed out during the ceremony hosted by Joel McHale. Russell Crowe gave his "Les Miserables" costar Anne Hathaway the honorary Lacoste Spotlight Award, and Steve Martin, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph presented the Distinguished Collaborator Award to producer Lorne Michaels and Tom Broecker, Michaels' longtime costume designer on both "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock."

"Once Upon a Time" stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas presented the show's costume designer, Eduardo Castro, with the Career Achievement in Television Award.
