Super-sized disgust

Houston guard Jeremy Lin, tweeting about the ramifications of arguing with officials over a 24-second violation called against the Rockets: "Got my first ever technical last night and lost $2000 … makes me angry when i [sic] realize thats 2000 mcchickens or 4000 jack in the box tacos."

But will he earn it?

Detroit forward Charlie Villanueva, when asked whether he would pick up the $8.5-million player option for next season that was part of the five-year, $35-million contract he signed in the summer of 2009: "It's obvious what I'm going to do. Would you let that money go?"
