Spring Restaurant Week in Las Vegas, coming March 8-15, gives diners an opportunity to try new places while also contributing to the fight against hunger. It's also a chance for Vegas visitors to venture off the Strip to sample some of Sin City’s lesser-known places.
Nearly 70 restaurants had signed up to participate, and the list is expected to grow. It’s heavy on restaurants along Las Vegas Boulevard – such as Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill (Caesars Palace) and Rick Moonen’s Rm Seafood (Mandalay Bay) – there are plenty of off-Strip eateries, too.
Many such establishments are within a mile or two of the resort corridor and therefore just a few minutes’ drive from the major hotels. All offer prix-fixe special menus. For each meal, the restaurant donates $4 to $6 to Three Square, a local food bank.
The Bar+Bistro @ the Arts Factory (107 E. Charleston Blvd.) offers an eclectic menu featuring Latin flavors. Their special lunch, priced at $20.13, includes red lentil soup, a main course of spiced salmon salad and, for dessert, doughnut churros.
