This week's TV Movies

SUNDAY

"The Bible" is coming to TV — the highlights, anyway, if not the entire holy book itself — in a new miniseries. And those medieval marauders known as "Vikings" are on their way to a village near you in a new series starring Gabriel Byrne. 8 and 10 p.m. History

Ride the rails in some seriously luxurious locomotives with the new special "Tricked Out Trains." Or settle down with the denizens of a South Carolina trailer park in the new 10-part docu-series "Welcome to Myrtle Manor." 8 p.m. Travel; 10 p.m. TLC

Just when she thought she was out, they pull her back in: A Marin County mom (Radha Mitchell) — the daughter of a notorious Russian mobster — finds herself caught between the criminal underworld and the FBI in the new drama "Red Widow." 9 p.m. ABC

MONDAY

We actually kind of enjoyed the Ben Affleck-Jennifer Lopez caper "Gigli," Kevin Costner's "Waterworld" and the Wachowskis' "Speed Racer." Nevertheless, those films are among the "Biggest Movie Flops" featured in this new special. 9 p.m. TV Guide

"LA Shrinks" – really? We thought it was expanding. Oh, they mean "shrinks" as in psychologists, family therapists and the like. Three locally based mental-health professionals ply their trade in this new docu-series. 10 p.m. Bravo

"Are You Tougher than a Boy Scout?" That depends. Are they talking Tenderfoot, or one of those merit-badge bedecked Eagle Scouts? Average Joes go up against some of the BSA's finest in outdoorsy challenges in this new reality competition. 8 p.m. Nat Geo

TUESDAY

"Treasure Detectives" seek to separate authentic artworks and antiquities from outright fakes and forgeries, and the "Car Chasers" travel the highways and byways in search of rare and classic automobiles, in these two new docu-series. 6 and 7 p.m. CNBC

WEDNESDAY

"Kim Novak: Live From the TCM Classic Film Festival," hosted by Robert Osborne, finds the actress reflecting on a career that included roles in such memorable movies as Alfred Hitchcock's 1958 thriller "Vertigo." 5 and 8 p.m. TCM

Satisfy that late-night rumble in your tummy and "Feed the Beast"  with this new food-themed travelogue that seeks out after-hours eateries from LA to NYC. 9 and 9:30 p.m. Travel

Are you an A-lister in search of a glamorous gown for your next red-carpet stroll or awards show appearance? The "Dukes of Melrose" have got you covered, literally, in this new reality series about a vintage-couture boutique. 10:30 p.m. Bravo

THURSDAY

Its formidable size and fearsome horns are not enough to protect the rhinoceros from the scourge of poaching, an issue explored in the 2012 documentary "Saving Rhino Phila" and the new series "Battleground: Rhino Wars." 8 and 9 p.m. Animal Planet

FRIDAY

Not one to let sleeping boats lie, oceanographer and Titanic discoverer Robert Ballard visits a well-preserved Byzantine-era shipwreck in "Ghost Ships of the Black Sea: Revealed." 8 p.m. Nat Geo

SATURDAY

Got "Gossip Girl" withdrawal? A sex-tape scandal shakes the foundations of an elite New England prep school in the fact-based TV movie "Restless Virgins." Vanessa Marano, above, and Timothy Busfield star. 8 p.m. Lifetime

Fly my pretties, fly! From the network that brought you "Sharktopus," "Dinocroc," "Dinocroc vs. Supergator," "Mega Snake," "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid,"  etc., comes the new made-for-cable creature feature "Flying Monkeys." 9 p.m. Syfy
