Tilda Swinton is starring in ads for Chanel's Edinburgh-Paris pre-fall collection. The campaign was shot at the Château d’Ecouen, a Renaissance castle near Chantilly, France. [WWD]

The basic take: she's too thin to represent the late 1960s time period of the coming season of "Mad Men" -- and she doesn't look anything like the show's curvaceous female cast members. [The Cut]

Fashion's Night Out, the global shopping/entertainment extravaganza launched by Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2009, is going on hiatus in the U.S. this year so retailers can focus on other projects. [WWD]
