Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will serve a one-game suspension Thursday for his postgame antics Monday, when he waited near the Celtics' team bus in an attempt to confront power forward Kevin Garnett.
Anthony and Garnett got into an altercation Monday in the fourth quarter of their game, which Boston won, 102-96. Anthony reportedly was upset with Garnett's choice of words during an on-court disagreement.
The Knicks' All-Star forward, who was caught on video waiting by Boston's bus while security members and Coach Mike Woodson intervened, said he wasn't waiting to fight Garnett but wanted to talk to him.
“There's certain things that you just don't say to men, another man,” Anthony said Tuesday, although he didn't elaborate on Garnett's comments.
