Raising Hope: Jimmy (Lucas Neff) participates in medical experiments to raise money to buy an pawn shop's engagement ring for Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) in a new episode of the comedy (8 p.m. Fox).

Pioneers of Television: Phyllis Diller — in her final interview and Joan Rivers, are interviewed in this look back at the funniest women in TV history. Career highlights of Mary Tyler Moore, Betty White, Marla Gibbs, Carol Burnett, Tina Fey and Margaret Cho are featured (8 p.m. KOCE).

American Experience: The Abolitionists: In part two of this historical documentary Frederick Douglass escapes slavery and joins William Lloyd Garrison in the anti-slavery movement, John Brown reveals his plan to free the slaves and Harriet Beecher Stowe publishes "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (9 p.m. KOCE).

Ultimate Guide to the Presidents:  This new documentary series premieres with a look at the new nation's first leaders (9 p.m. History).

Face Off: Syfy's most popular unscripted series returns for its fourth season as 14 new aspiring special-effects makeup artists join host McKenzie Westmore and returning judges Ve Neill, Glenn Hetrick and Neville Page (9 p.m. Syfy).

Private Practice: Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) goes into labor, putting Cooper's (Paul Adelstein) plans to acquire a dream house on hold. Kate Walsh, David Goryl, Benjamin Bratt, Brian Benben, Diane Farr and Caterina Scorsone also star in this new episode (10 p.m. ABC).

Frontline:  The new episode "Inside Obama's Presidency" studies the first four years of Barack Obama's presidency include battles with Republicans over health care, the economy, and the expansion of targeted killings of enemies (10 p.m. KOCE).

Real Husbands of Hollywood:  This new comedy series is billed as a scripted-reality show (10 p.m. BET).

Chopped: Four champions who previously mastered the "Chopped" baskets return to compete for a $50,000 prize (10 p.m. Food).


Pro basketball: The Clippers visit the Rockets (5 p.m. FS Prime); the Bucks visit the Lakers (7:30 p.m. TWSN).
