The Atlanta Braves acquired Justin Upton from the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday in exchange for five players, according to MLB.com.
The Braves received Upton and Chris Johnson in exchange for Martin Prado, shortstop prospect Nick Ahmed, Class A infielder Brandon Drury and right-handed pitchers Randall Delgado and Zeke Spruill.
"Bittersweet day for me," Upton tweeted. "So happy to get the chance to play with my brother in Atlanta but will miss the city and the fans here in Phoenix."
The trade gives the Braves one of the league's best outfields, putting Upton together with Jason Heyward and his older brother, B.J. Upton, whom the team signed earlier in the off-season to a five-year, $75.25-million contract.
