The Galaxy's new goalkeeper, Carlo Cudicini, said Thursday he's ready to help the team win its third consecutive Major League Soccer title.
"It's an honor to be here," the Italian veteran said after the team's practice at Home Depot Center. "What they did in the last two years was amazing."
Cudicini, 39, was acquired in late December from Tottenham Hotspur, a British team in the English Premier League where Cudicini largely had played in a reserve role.
"I wasn't that happy at Tottenham" and the prospect of being the regular goalkeeper with the Galaxy "was a major factor in coming to play for a very successful franchise," he said.
