For anybody wondering what happened to French chef Jean-François Meteigner when he closed up La Cachette Bistro in Santa Monica in late 2011, the L’Orangerie alum is now cooking in — Vietnam!
He’s executive chef at the soon-to-open MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach Resort’s 100-seat An Nam French Bistro. Meteigner has his sights set on creating 100 French-Vietnamese dishes for the new restaurant.
The luxury hotel opens early this year with 541 guest rooms and nine restaurants and is being pegged as having “the excitement of Las Vegas, the beauty of Vietnam.”
