Dakota Fanning is going nude in her newest film "Very Good Girls."

In Naomi Former's coming-of-age film, Fanning, 19, plays a girl who makes a pact with her best friend (played by Elizabeth Olsen) to lose their virginity before they start college. They both fall for the same guy and, naturally, their friendship is at risk. As for baring it all in her first sex scene...

"Yeah, well, I've never done that before and I'm very newly allowed to do that," she told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. "I was newly 18, so yeah, it was -- it's kind of a sensitive thing, but it's a part of life."

"As in life, it's not always so perfect and glossy and seamless," said co-star Boyd Holbrook, with whom Fanning's character is supposed to do the deed. "It's quite awkward sometimes especially with that. This film's about going into life, first sexual experience, so it's all about the environment and not taking it too serious."

Well, she can just laugh that off then, the same way she laughed off her "sexually provocative" ad for the Marc Jacobs fragrance "Oh Lola!" in which a flowering perfume bottle was placed at the then-17-year-old's nether regions.

"If you want to read something into a perfume bottle, then I guess you can," she tells Glamour. "But it's also like, 'Why are you making it about that, you creep?' I love Marc and trust him, and we just laughed about it."

Fanning made it big co-starring with Sean Penn in "I Am Sam" at age 7. Since then, she's gone on to star in films with more A-listers, including "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise and "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington. She also played a baddie in the teen heartthrob "Twilight Saga" and is the featured cover girl in Glamour's March issue.

So, we suppose, it's time to add that "former" prefix to Fanning's "child star" moniker?
