LAS VEGAS -- Reggie Bullock made his first shot Friday afternoon, an indication of what was to come for much of the Clippers' opener in the Las Vegas Summer League.
The shooting guard, who was the team's first-round draft pick last month, finished with 18 points on eight-for-15 shooting during the Clippers' 90-83 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at Cox Pavilion.
Bullock was serenaded by courtside chants of "Reggie! Reggie!" after making a jumper in the first quarter and again after blocking a shot later in the game.
"That was pretty cool to be able to come from the college and seeing the Clippers play on TV and actually hearing their fans chant your name; it was a special moment for me," Bullock said. "But at the same time I’m humble, and I’m going to continue to work."
The former North Carolina standout did some cheering of his own, standing to applaud a three-pointer by sharpshooter Scott Wood, a former rival from North Carolina State.
