The Lakers are one of world's 50 most valuable sports teams, but according to Forbes.com the franchise is not even in the top 30.
Soccer club Real Madrid ranked No. 1 overall with a value of $3.3 billion. The top three are all "futbol" teams (with Manchester United and Barcelona after Real Madrid).
The New York Yankees come in fourth with a value of $2.3 billion. The Dodgers are seventh at $1.615 billion.
The Lakers are behind multiple NFL teams, starting with the No. 5 Dallas Cowboys ($2.1 billion).
As far as the NBA, it's not until 23rd when the New York Knicks hit the list ($1.1 billion).
Finally the Lakers come in at 31, tied with the Chicago Cubs and Toronto Maple Leafs -- each at $1 billion.
Second in the NBA may be impressive, but the Lakers are not especially high on the list when talking soccer, football and baseball.
