Maria Walsh, the “Naughty Mommy” of comedy, has won a one-week gig as the "Riviera Next Comic Headliner" and will appear June 17-23 at the Comedy Club at the Riviera in Las Vegas.

Walsh bested 226 entrants in a search that climaxed April 20. Walsh and three finalists went head to head for the top prize.

Walsh, a wife and mother from Long Island, N.Y., will perform at 8:30 nightly on the same stage that helped launched the careers of comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Rita Rudner.

“I am overwhelmed to take the same stage at the Riviera where so many legendary comics have performed,” Walsh said in a statement. “In comedy, you need to work hard, hone your skills and get your name out there, and this is a great way to do that.”

Tickets cost $19.99. They’re available online and at the Riviera box office.
