If you're anything like us, you regularly emerge from the shower aglow with the possibility of a fine night out, one filled with friends, wine and song. As you part the steam in the bathroom mirror, you reflect on your striking visage, pleased that a life of adventure and experience has only added to your allure and mystery.
But then you notice that something is amiss. There is a last detail, an essence gone missing -- the key that turns the lock of inhibition, allowing lust to bloom.
And you say to yourself, "I need the scent of Father John Misty."
Well ladies, your search is over.
The rakish singer-songwriter-novelist-cruise curmudgeon Josh Tillman has outdone himself in his latest collaboration -- Innocence by Misty, a fragrance for women crafted under the auspices of fellow singer-songwriter Will Oldham and Sanae Barber's SANAE Intoxicants.
The (very serious and very expensive) company has previously released four small-run fragrances -- one explicitly inspired by Oldham's experimental folk work as Bonnie Prince Billy, and three others with essences of Balsam of Peru, clary sage and pink pepper and vetiver and labdanum.
