Letters: Yosemite isn't Disneyland

June 07, 2013

Re "Two visitors killed in Yosemite," June 4

It is regrettable that another person has been swept over a waterfall in Yosemite National Park. But is raises the question: What was he thinking?

Nature can be a beautiful place, but it can also be a deadly dangerous place. People need to respect nature far more than they do.

A National Park is not Disneyland — there is no expectation of safety for people who do foolish things.
