The Richard Mille luxury watch brand, which opened its first U.S. boutique in Beverly Hills three years ago, has chosen Las Vegas to be the site of its sophomore standalone store, the company announced Monday.

The boutique, which is scheduled to open at the Shops at Crystals in September 2013, sounds appropriately high-end, with an interior appointed in Makassar ebony wood, leather, steel and glass. (The description also included something called "Corian stone" which reminds us of Ricardo Montalban speaking lovingly of "genuine Corinthian leather," but turns out to be the proprietary name of a Dupont "solid surface" counter top material.)

The store will also include, according to the announcement, a VIP area, "glass that is anti-reflective on all surfaces and custom choreographed lighting."

The wristwatch brand, which launched in 2001, operates 14 branded boutiques around the globe. It opened its first U.S. store at 222 North Rodeo Drive in 2010.

It joins a stable of other luxury tenants that includes Tom Ford, Lanvin, Ermenegildo Zegna and Stella McCartney.
