Row Adventures based in Idaho offers an early season discount on Snake River trips that zip through Hells Canyon, North America's deepest river gorge. Whitewater rapids and luxury camping are the calling cards for four- to six-day trips that are on sale for adults and children until Monday.

The deal: The sale applies to trips of at least four days on selected Snake River trips this spring and summer. Adults take $200 off the price; children 16 and younger take $200 off four-day trips and $300 off five- and six-day trips. Discounted prices start at $1,075 for adults and $935 for children for a four-day trip.

Participants get to choose their vessel of choice -- oar rafts, paddle rafts, inflatable kayaks -- to venture down Hells Canyon and face the rapids. Participants put in near Hells Canyon Dam in Idaho not far from the Oregon border. All meals (including beer, wine and soft drinks) are included as well as guides and camping arrangements. And there's time to fish, hike and just relax, too.

When: The offer is good through Monday for selected trips from May to August. It applies to four-day trips leaving May 29, and June 6, 14 and 22; five-day trips leaving June 30, July 8 (almost full) and Aug. 1; and six-day trips leaving Aug. 9, 17 and 25.

Tested: A five-day trip starting on dates cited above costs $1,430 per adult and $1,185 per child with the discount. Trips are good for beginners and moderate river rafters, according to the company.
