Jessica Alba in black and white during Paris Fashion Week

FRUGAL FASHION

March 06, 2013|By Jenn Harris

Actress Jessica Alba made the rounds at Paris Fashion Week sitting front row at Stella McCartney, Shiatzy Chen and Valentino. For the most part, Alba wore variations of black and white pieces with a plain white top and black slacks at Valentino, a black suit and white oxford shirt at McCartney and a coat so darkly gray it looked black at Chen.

Alba's black and white color scheme was representative of a bigger trend fashion critic Booth Moore noticed while viewing the shows in Paris this week. The Alexander Wang for Balenciaga runway and the entire Viktor and Rolf collection were almost exclusively black and white.

2013 Fashion Week coverage

To get Alba's black and white Stella McCartney look, try the Classic button down shirt from Forever 21 for $15.80 with the Beaded sleeve jacket from Forever 21 for $42.80 or the Stooshy sequin collar-less blazer from Kohl's for $23.20. Pair with the Jones New York skinny trouser for $59 for a versatile slim trouser.

Keep the look simple with a clutch and a pair of ankle strap heels. Try the Matt and Nat Hendrix zipper detail clutch from 6pm.com for $66.99 and the Asos prior pointed high heels for $76.30.

Happy shopping.
