The Grove has a couple of special events coming up this week, of interest to prom-goers and fitness buffs.

The new Topshop Topman store has a special prom-planning event scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Teens can get styling tips from the store staff, make appointments for hairstyling, nails and makeovers, and listen to prom tunes spun by DJs. A complimentary clutch will be given to customers who spend $100 or more.

On Saturday, Athleta is offering a 4 p.m. Zumba class taught by Catherine Garceau, who won an Olympic bronze medal as part of Canada's synchronized swimming team in 2000. There will be giveaways -- including a yoga outfit styled by Garceau -- every 30 minutes from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Grove is at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.

A Current Affair plans a pop-up vintage marketplace featuring more than 40 vendors from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in the penthouse at 860 S. Los Angeles St. Valet parking is available under the Cooper Building. Admission is $10 and may be purchased online or at the door. Besides shopping, there will be an open bar, refreshments and music by KCRW DJ Marion Hodges.
