CBS announced it is renewing 18 series, lauding the strength and stability of its prime-time slate. Talks are also underway to bring back "Two and a Half Men" for its 11th season.

Among the dramas coming back next season are the freshman series "Elementary," "Hawaii Five-0," "The Good Wife," the previously announced CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Person of Interest" and "The Mentalist."

Notably missing from the announcement was "Vegas," which has struggled a bit this season.

Comedies coming back include "Mike & Molly," "2 Broke Girls," the previously announced "The Big Bang Theory" and the final season of "How I Met Your Mother."

Also coming back are the reality series "Survivor," "The Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss." News magazines "60 Minutes" and "48 Hours" will come back in the fall.
