Taylor Swift is getting back in the acting chair: She'll guest star in the finale of Fox's "New Girl" in May.
The "I Knew You Were Trouble" songstress will appear in the May 14 finale of the comedy, the Associated Press confirmed. The show stars Zooey Deschanel as the sweet-but-awkward "New Girl" Jess, who moves in with three male roommates, played by Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson and Lamorne Morris.
Swift, 23, will play a different new girl named Elaine, an "important guest" at the wedding of Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha), according to Entertainment Weekly.
A wedding singer perhaps?! Maybe "Elaine" will help Greenfield's Schmidt pen a breakup song to sing to Cece at the wedding. Here's hoping! Though we wouldn't mind a Deschanel-Swift sing-off as Elvis impersonators either.
The singer is scheduled to tape the appearance next week when she'll be taking a break from her Red Tour, which launched this month, according to the mag.
