Paiche, the new restaurant from Chef Ricardo Zarate (Picca and Mo-Chica), has delayed its opening. The Peruvian-Japanese restaurant in Marina del Rey will now open Friday, April 12.

Zarate and business partner Stephane Bombet were slated to open Paiche on April 2, but due to an emergency, the restaurant has pushed back the opening date. Guests are being asked to reschedule their reservations on Open Table or contact the restaurant at (310) 893-6100.

Zarate revealed some of the dishes on his "Peruvian izakaya" menu in sketches here.

Planned dishes include a wagyu black truffle tiradito with seared wagyu beef, Parmesan sauce, aji amarillo vinaigrette and black truffles and a crispy fish bun with halibut, cabbage salad, avocado and jalapeno aioli.

13488 Maxella Ave., Marina del Rey, (310) 893-6100.
