If the premiere of "Star Trek: Into Darkness" is any indication, high style will be alive and well in the 23rd century. The film's cast and celebrity supporters were in full galactic glam at Tuesday night's premiere. Zoe Saldana chose a nude silk embroidered dress with tiered silk chiffon from Rodarte's fall and winter 2013 collection (accessorized with a white and gold hand-knit Rodarte cardigan). Jennifer Morrison was a constellation unto herself in a baby blue geometric sequin jumpsuit from the spring and summer 2013 collection of Edition by Georges Chakra, and Alice Eve beamed down to the planet's surface in a futuristic gold embroidered sheath dress with black silk knit paneling from the pre-fall 2013 Zuhair Murad RTW collection.

Prabal party: Ginnifer Goodwin, Hailee Steinfeld and Zoe Saldana were among the well-heeled in-crowd at a Monday night dinner hosted by Vogue magazine and MAC Cosmetics in honor of designer Prabal Gurung. Among the things we learned over pre-dinner cocktails? That Hailee Steinfeld's older brother Griffin is a NASCAR driver.  [All The Rage]

Diamond record: A Sotheby's jewelry auction in Geneva on Tuesday, which included the collection of actress Gina Lollabrigida, broke several records, the auction house announced. An auction record for natural pearl and diamond pendant earrings fell when a pair owned by the actress fetched $2,391,321, and an auction record for a fancy yellow diamond was set when a 74.53-carat diamond (once owned by Persian Shah Ahmed Shah Qajar) sold for $2,985,750, which also happened to set a per-carat auction record for a fancy yellow diamond of $40,061 per carat. Underwear redux: Many years older but no less beautiful, Christy Turlington is set to return to modeling Calvin Klein skivvies , the brand's parent company announced. According to the statement issued by PVH Corp., the model-activist will be featured in the women's fall 2013 Calvin Klein underwear global advertising campaign shot by fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti.

Turlington's relationship with the brand goes back to her first runway show for Calvin Klein's fall 1987 collection, and she has appeared in a number of the label’s underwear, swimwear and fragrance ad campaigns in the years since. [Calvin Klein]

Weighing in on Abercrombie: In case you missed it yesterday, our colleague Robin Abcarian (whose memorable 2006 piece on the "muffin top" remains one of our all-time favorites) focuses on the current kerfuffle over apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch and its unwillingness to offer plus-size clothes.
