“The Hangover Part III” is just the start of Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas, which also includes the debut of Cirque du Soleil’s Michael Jackson tribute and a bounty of nightclubs overflowing with widely known DJs.
The comedy film's famed Wolfpack once again will overindulge, cinematically speaking, at Caesars Palace, whose gift shops will be awash in movie-themed merchandise.
To celebrate the release of the movie, Caesars will offer two themed packages beginning Friday. The Hangover Package includes a two-night stay and a $40 retail credit for movie-related items. Beginning Friday, use online booking code ICHOP. If you're booking by phone at (800) 223-7277, use the code PKGCHOP.
The Ultimate Hangover Package upgrades guests to a two-story suite like the one featured in the movie “Rainman.” It also includes the gift-shop credit. Guests must book by phone at (800) 223-7277, using code PKGCUHO.
Prices for both offers vary by date and are subject to availability. The packages will be available throughout the summer.
Here are some of the other ways to be entertained during the holiday weekend:
Cabo Wabo Cantina in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will be rocking Friday through Monday. The Corona girls will greet guests on the patio overlooking the Strip, and buckets of Corona will be priced at $20. Plenty of Baja-Mex food will also be available. Information: (702) 385-2226.
DJ Pauly D will pump up the volume on Sunday when he brings his TURNT UP party to Haze nightclub at Aria. His musical talents have been showcased on MTV’s “Jersey Shore.” Doors open at 10:30 p.m. Tickets are available online. They’re $20 for women and $40 for men.
Fleetwood Mac hits the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday. The legendary group is touring again after a three-year break. Tickets range from $60 to $185 and are available through Ticketmaster.
The “Kings of the Mic” tour arrives at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday. Headlined by LL Cool J, the group also features Ice Cube, Public Enemy and De La Soul. Tickets begin at $45.50 and are available through Ticketmaster.
The Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort launches its summer season on Saturday. Hiking, biking, chairlift rides and disc golf are among the many activities. In the mountains, temperatures are usually at least 20 degrees cooler than in town. Overnight tent camping is available for $15, and self-contained RVs can get a space for $25 a night.
The much-anticipated "Michael Jackson ONE" production begins preview performances Thursday at Mandalay Bay. Cirque du Soleil’s newest show is a high-energy celebration of the life of the King of Pop. Tickets, available online, cost $69 to $180. The grand opening is scheduled for June 29.
UFC 160 -- to be held Saturday, May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena -- will feature a rematch of the contenders from UFC 146: heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. The title is on the line. Tickets range from $85 to $635 and are available through Ticketmaster.
