Hilary Knight, Jocelyne Lamoureux and Kelli Stack each scored two goals Saturday, and the U.S. defeated Sweden, 8-1, to finish third in the Four Nations Cup women’s hockey tournament at Lake Placid, N.Y.

The U.S. got four assists from Megan Bozek in its final game of the tournament, which is considered a prime warmup event for the Olympics.

Canada won the championship Saturday night by defeating Finland, 6-3.

The U.S. opened the tournament with a rout of Sweden but lost to Canada, 4-2, and Finland, 3-1, in round-robin play before defeating Sweden again.

“I like where our game has ended up after four games here in Lake Placid,” U.S. Coach Katey Stone told “We came out flying today and it won't stop for us here. We're just going to try and get better every day.”

The U.S. roster for the Sochi Olympics will be announced Jan. 1 during the second intermission of the Winter Classic, which will be telecast on NBC.
