This year has been memorable for Henrik Stenson, who secured an unprecedented double over the weekend, following his FedEx Cup victory with a win in the Race to Dubai.
But the Swede still has one more goal -- to reach No. 1 in the world.
"Yeah, I'm certainly going to keep trying," he said. "You know, it's going to take a lot of good golfing."
Though he became the first player to capture the season-long titles for the PGA Tour and the European Tour, Stenson stands third behind Tiger Woods and Adam Scott as of the latest official standings.
"Got a lot of big events coming up next year," he said. "We'll see. It's all about how many points you can accumulate."
In the meantime, Stenson can console himself with the fact that he has unquestionably rebounded from a horrendous mid-career slump. And he has solved his personal financial troubles with a lot of prize money.
