The new plant hangers mix the ceramics of Lily King with the cotton and silk… (Matters of Space )

When we first wrote about the transformation of York Boulevard in Highland Park almost two years ago, one of the finds was affordable pottery by L.A. artist Lily King sold by the interior design studio and shop Matters of Space. This holiday season, the ceramist and the store have collaborated on a new collection of macramé plant hangers, our latest pick in our Handmade Holidays gift guide.

The muted hues of King's ceramics play nicely with the cotton and silk knotted hangers, which are reminiscent of the jewelry that Matters of Space has sold on Fab and through Nordstrom. A necklace for your succulent?

Each pot is 6 to 9 inches in diameter; the hangers are 26 to 30 inches from hanging ring to bottom of pot, plus tassel on the bottom, but the store can customize the length. Price: $120 to $150 through Matters of Space.

We fell a little behind in our daily postings, but we're quickly catching up. Check back for more gift picks here in the days to come.
