If it’s up to Clippers Coach Doc Rivers, his team will win right away and be crowned NBA champion this season.

Sure, Rivers admitted, there's a process to what the Clippers are trying to do, to what he wants to accomplish.

But Rivers said he doesn’t want to wait two or three or four years before  the Clippers can be NBA champions.

“You've got to have some dreams here, at least,” Rivers said. “I don’t want to be that group that says, ‘OK, guys, let’s just get to the second round and then we’re good.’ That’s too low for me expectation-wise.”

The Clippers are 8-5 after splitting road games at Minneapolis and Oklahoma City.

The Clippers play again Saturday afternoon against the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center.

“We’re still building,” Chris Paul said.
