Football: El Toro QB Trey Tinsley sets record with 75 pass attempts

October 01, 2013|By Eric Sondheimer

To say that El Toro High has become a passing team might be an understatement.

In last week's 42-35 victory over Villa Park, junior quarterback Trey Tinsley set Southern Section records by completing 50 of 75 passes. He finished with 512 yards and six touchdowns.

The 50 completions is also believed to be a national record.

This season, Tinsley has passed for 305 yards against La Habra, 316 yards against Capistrano Valley, 230 yards against Corona del Mar and 362 yards against Palos Verdes.
