Baseball: A productive Arizona trip for Jeremy Polon, Erik Whittlesey

October 14, 2013|By Eric Sondheimer

Scout ball teams traveled to Arizona over the weekend for some weekend baseball competition, and two players from Woodland Hills El Camino Real made a favorable impression.

Jeremy Polon, a sophomore left-hander moving up from junior varsity who was so impressive in summer ball, struck out six of eight batters, Coach Josh Lienhard said. The college recruiters were paying attention.

Infielder Erik Whittlesey, a senior, had three doubles and a triple.
