Update: Last-place Chivas USA ends its turbulent season with its third match of the year against Portland, which has clinched a playoff berth in Major League Soccer's Western Conference. The Timbers lead the league in fewest losses with five and most ties with 15. Portland defeated Chivas USA, 3-0, in their first meeting May 12 in Portland, and the teams played to a 1-1 draw Sept. 14 at StubHub Center. It's been another difficult year for Chivas USA, which made several changes to its roster during the season and replaced its coach in June with Jose Luis Real.
