The Sirtaj hotel in Beverly Hills has an offer tied to a Southern California seasonal truth: Summer isn't over when September rolls around. The 32-room boutique hotel extends summer with an outdoorsy package for $499 that covers two nights, a picnic in the park, cocktails and more.

The deal: The Sirtaj at 120 S. Reeves Drive calls this an Indian Summer package, inspired at least in part by the menu at its indoor-outdoor p.s. beverly hills restaurant that features Indian and American cuisine.

The picnic lunch may include a chicken tikka naan wrap or East-West steak salad topped with mango-coconut rum balls. It's packed up and served at a nearby park with blanket and parasol. Guests also receive a cocktail and breakfast.

When: The offer is good through Oct. 31.

Tested: The deal is described online, but you have to call the hotel to ask for the package rate. I found availability for a room Sept. 13-15 at the $499 rate plus tax. Rooms regularly go for $239 a night plus tax, which makes the included breakfast and lunch practically free.

Info: Sirtaj, (310) 248-2402
