Recapping the sights and sounds of Apple's 2013 iPhone event

September 11, 2013|By Chris O'Brien

Apple Inc.'s 2013 iPhone event has come and gone.

The company announced a new iPhone 5s with a super-fast processor, upgraded camera and fingerprint scanning technology. Apple also revealed the new iPhone 5c with a plastic coating and steel frame.

The stock market wasn't wild about the results. But fans will have the final say when the phones go on sale Sept. 20.

Apple has a couple of big months ahead. The new iOS 7 will be released Sept. 18. That should keep current iPhone and iPad users busy updating their phones.

And next month, Apple is expected to announce new versions of the iPad and iPad mini. At that point, we'll gear up for another round of Apple coverage.
