The search began about 6:30 a.m. at Wentworth Street and Woodale Avenue and involved uniformed officers without a SWAT team, said Officer Brady Cuellar from the LAPD's Mission station.

Video of the scene on KTLA showed 17 men and women sitting side by side on the curb in front of a home while officers searched in and around the property.

There have been three violent crimes and 15 property crimes in Arleta in the last week, according to the L.A. Times crime mapping database.
