All lanes of the 405 Freeway will be closed overnight Friday and Saturday at the border of Long Beach and Seal Beach.

The freeway will be closed in both directions between Valley View Street and Studebaker Road from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. both nights.

Seal Beach Boulevard over the freeway will also be closed both nights. And the westbound 22 Freeway will be closed from Valley View Street to the northbound 405.

The closure is part of the Orange County Transit Agency and Caltrans' West County Connectors Project, a $277-million effort that will connect carpool lanes on the 405, 605 and 22 and construct a second carpool lane on the 405 between the 605 and the 22.

During this scheduled closure, crews will be demolishing the east half of the Seal Beach Boulevard Bridge.

Information on detours is available here.
