Earlier in the quarter, Lee had hauled in a pass for a 51-yard game to become USC’s career leader in receiving yardage.
USC quarterback Cody Kessler completed 20 of 29 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns, but he was also intercepted twice. One of the interceptions was returned 46 yards for a touchdown by Alden Darby.
Darby, a senior from Long Beach Millikan High, also picked off a pass thrown by Madden out of a Wildcat formation.

Cody Kessler hit Victor Blackwell with a pass short of the first down marker, but Blackwell bulled over Sun Devil defensive back Alden Darby to extend the drive.
