Michelle Wie and Se Ri Pak were the co-leaders Saturday midway through the third round of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the LPGA's first major event of the season.

Wie and Pak, an LPGA Hall of Famer, were tied at nine under par amid postcard-perfect conditions at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.

Neither golfer has won the Kraft Nabisco Championship, but the 36-year-old Pak has won five other LPGA majors.

Lexi Thompson was one shot back at eight under after missing several short putts to make birdies. The 19-year-old shot 64 on Friday to be the co-leader with Pak after two rounds.

Amy Yang of South Korea surged into contention with four birdies Saturday to reach seven under, two shots behind the leaders.
