Football: Crespi to open its season against Sylmar

 Encino Crespi announced its football schedule for this fall, and the Celts will open the season with a zero week game against Sylmar at home on Aug. 29.

Other nonleague games will be home games against Oak Hills on Sept. 5, Lawndale on Sept. 12 and Gardena Serra on Sept. 19, a road game against Salesian on Sept. 26, a home game against Loyola on Oct. 10 and a road game against Bishop Amat on Oct. 17. The Celts will open league play against Chaminade at home on Oct. 24.

Crespi ends the season with road games at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on Oct. 31 and at Alemany on Nov. 7.
