Earthquake: 2.3 quake strikes near Cobb, Calif.

A shallow magnitude 2.3 earthquake was reported early Tuesday morning five miles from Cobb, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:47 a.m. PDT at a depth of 1.2 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 13 miles from Clearlake, 15 miles from Healdsburg, 19 miles from Windsor and 73 miles from Sacramento.

In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
