American sliders' irreverent take on 2014 Sochi Olympics

January 31, 2014|By David Wharton

If you're looking for a different -- and slightly skewed -- perspective on the 2014 Sochi Olympics, a pair of American sliders might have just the thing.

Skeleton racer John Daly and bobsledder Steve "Nitro" Langton have been posting short clips on YouTube as they prepare to compete in Russia.

The roommates began their semi-regular video blog in May and have been using it to answer fan mail and riff on everything from fashion to the Louisiana Purchase. Daly plays the comic role. Langton is the straight man.

So far, there have been 10 episodes of "Your Daly Nitro" with the promise of more to come.

"Every day," Daly said.

Langton shot back: "That's probably not going to happen."
