Daniel Hamilton had 22 points, Tyler Dorsey had 21 and Vance Jackson added 16 for St. John Bosco, which held off Folsom, 63-54, to claim the Division II state championship at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.

The Braves (23-11) made seven out of eight free throws in the final minute to clinch the victory, including four without a miss by Hamilton.

St. John Bosco trailed 28-24 at halftime but rallied to take the lead in the third quarter. Hamilton's layup gave the Braves a 46-39 lead with 5:53 left. The Braves won the state crown after losing to Loyola in the first round of the Southern Section Open Division playoffs.

Northern California teams won four of the six state final games on Friday, but Southern California teams have won the first four contests today, with only the girls and boys Open Division games remaining.
