Film producer Harve Bennett has been elected president of the UCLA Theater Arts Alumni Assn. for its 1986-87 year. Focus of the association's 1987 activities will be the 40th anniversary of the establishment at UCLA of what is now the school's department of theater, film and television.

November's imbalance between spending and revenue was up 23% from October's $27.09 billion deficit, the Treasury Department reported. For the first two months of the 1986 fiscal year, the deficit totaled $60.47 billion, up 6% from the same period last year.

The auto maker said it will increase its car prices by an average of between 2% and 3%. The company's announcement, which didn't provide any further details, was in line with a move by General Motors to increase its prices by more than 3% on some 1986 model compact cars. Chrysler said it will report its specific price increases at the start of the 1986 model year this fall.
