The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq: Christopher S. Frost, 24, of Waukesha, Wis.; staff sergeant, Air Force. Frost was killed Monday along with seven members of the Iraqi air force when their Russian-built MI-17 transport helicopter crashed in a sandstorm near Baiji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 377th Air Base Wing at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. -- Steven R. Koch, 23, of Milltown, N. J.; specialist, Army.

The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan or who died at a military hospital of their injuries: Joseph T. Caron, 21, of Tacoma, Wash.; specialist, Army. Caron was killed April 11 when a roadside bomb exploded near him while he was on foot patrol in the Arghandab River Valley in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province, on the Pakistani border. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Sean M. Durkin, 24, of Aurora, Colo.

The Army has charged seven paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division with engaging in sex acts in videos shown on a gay pornography website. Three of the soldiers face courts-martial on charges of sodomy, pandering and engaging in sex acts for money, according to a statement released by the military Friday. Four other soldiers received what the military called nonjudicial punishments. The Army has recommended that all the paratroopers involved be discharged.
