It's not all cutthroat competition out there. 76 Lubricants Co. says it now gets its basic motor oil supply from Exxon Corp. When it was owned by Unocal, the Costa Mesa-based lubricants company got its raw materials from Unocal refineries. But New Jersey refinery and convenience store operator Tosco Corp. acquired the refineries as part of its $2-billion purchase of Unocal 76 Products Co. and has changed the mix of things being refined.

76 Lubricants Co., a division of Tosco Corp., said Monday that it has signed a long-term deal for Exxon Co. to become the primary supplier for the 76 line of automotive, commercial and industrial oils. 76 Lubricants, previously a division of Unocal Corp., was recently acquired by Tosco, a major independent refiner and marketer of petroleum products and operator of convenience stores.

He is founder and chairman of the board of the Lindquist Group. * Paul Rodeno has been appointed chief administrative officer of Eldorado Bank, headquartered in Tustin. He has been with the bank and its predecessors since 1986.

* Sabrina Rokos has joined 76 Lubricants Co. in Costa Mesa as marketing/advertising coordinator. She was formerly assistant account executive at MLS Marketing Group in Irvine and, before that, account manager with Sportswear International magazine in Los Angeles. * Adrian Joseph has been appointed chief executive of Nurescell Inc. in Newport Beach. Joseph founded the company, which develops a shielding technology for nuclear reactor facilities, and is the majority shareholder.

John Kao has been named president and chief executive of Santa Ana-based PacifiCare Health Systems Inc.'s Specialty Services unit and new E-commerce company, PacifiCare Ventures. Kao succeeds the interim head of Specialty Services, Jeff Folick, who retired. Kao had been chief financial officer of PacifiCare's Secure Horizons USA unit. * Marwan Zreik has been named vice president, research and development and quality control, at Naturade Inc. in Irvine.

Smyth Jr., who remains a board member. * Garry D. Rooney has been appointed divisional vice president of 76 Lubricants Co. in Costa Mesa, a division of Tosco Corp. He was previously general manager of lubricant sales. * Katie Ward has been named district manager at Merit Property Management Inc. in Mission Viejo.
