A Hyundai sedan packed with 10 suspected illegal immigrants lost control and crashed into a boulder on a rural highway Sunday, injuring all of them, authorities said. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known, although no one died at the scene, said U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Ron Henley. The Hyundai Excel was traveling eastbound on Highway 94 near the Mexican border when its driver saw a Border Patrol vehicle. Agents reported that the car crashed as it was making a U-turn.

A pickup truck packed with undocumented immigrants overturned north of the Mexican border on Saturday, injuring at least 10 people, authorities said. Several remained hospitalized, including a girl with a fractured pelvis. The 1973 Chevrolet pickup, carrying 19 people and the driver, blew a back tire as it traveled on westbound Interstate 8 shortly before 1:20 a.m., a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
