A 10-year-old Nashua boy's first trip to Boston's Fenway Park ended before the game started when he was struck by a ball and knocked unconscious. Adam Porter was in the stands along the third base line trying to get autographs Monday night when a ball thrown by Baltimore Oriole first baseman David Segui hit him above the right eye. When Adam regained consciousness a minute later, he was taken to Boston Children's Hospital, where he spent several hours being treated for a concussion.

Forwards Christian Laettner, who was almost a Laker, and Terry Mills were traded Tuesday by the Detroit Pistons to the Dallas Mavericks for forwards Cedric Ceballos and John Wallace, guard Eric Murdock and cash.
