The Calabasas City Council has agreed to contribute $1.2 million toward the construction of a $6-million public library in Agoura Hills--the first such joint venture between two cities in Los Angeles County. The 25,000-square-foot facility will replace the existing 7,500-square-foot Las Virgenes Library on Roadside Drive and will be stocked and staffed by the county.
