The Boise Cascade Corp. of Boise, Ida., said it has rejected an offer to settle charges brought against it by the Environmental Protection Agency for $950,000. The EPA has charged that Boise Cascade violated the Clean Air Act while building an addition onto its International Falls, Minn., pulp and paper mill, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
